The Snow Man Trekking is considered as one of the the most exciting treks in the world. It starts in Punakha and winds northwards, up to Laya, on of the highest settlements in Bhutan. The natives of this remote area, where life has remained unchanged for centuries, wear costumes woven from yak-hair and distinctive conical bamboo hats. The itinerary turns then eastwards and follows the Tibetan border over several high passes.

The trek is a very strenuous one and requires an absolute fitness, but the mountain scenery is absolutely breathtaking: sacred mountains, virgin peaks, holy lakes, beautiful valleys, and lush forests teeming with flora and wildlife. During the tour we will also visit the valleys of Paro, Thimphu, and Punakha, experiencing the enchantment of a briliant civilisation through the ancient fortresses, monasteries, and temples that dot the countryside.
